Mike Morningstar

M.OMSc

Mike uses the principals of Osteopathic assessment to figure out where the issue is stemming from, then focuses on the interrelationship between the structure and function of the body to facilitate change.

Mike was first introduced to Osteopathy in 2012 when his infant son was losing weight. At 14 months old, he had never taken more than two bites of pureed food in one sitting before crying and refusing more. He was nearly exclusively nursed as Mike and his wife searched fruitlessly for answers through both conventional and natural routes.

When Mike’s wife heard about Osteopathy, she gave it a try out of desperation, not knowing anything about it. That appointment proved to be life-changing for all of them; the Osteopath assessed him within 30 seconds of observing him, gave him a treatment, and sent them home.

For the rest of the day, Mike’s son was miserable – clingy, crying, and letting out a few adult-sized belches. Yet, that night – for the first time ever – he slept through the entire night.

That morning, he woke up, sat at the breakfast table, and out-ate his three-year-old sister. This was a complete and shocking turnaround from the child who could barely handle more than a bite of pureed vegetables per day.

Over the next few years, Mike’s family utilized Osteopathy as their first line of defense for various issues and ailments, and when Mike sought to change his career from HVAC installation and repair that he was trained in, he knew that he wanted to help people. He also knew that Osteopathy was the way he wanted to do that. He joined the CAO and has never looked back.

Mike’s background in the trades gives him a unique perspective into the body, as well as helps him put people at ease with his down-to-earth approach and simple explanations. Mike is passionate about giving his clients personalized care in a gentle yet efficient manner and loves hearing client feedback on how Osteopathy has improved their lives.
